What will be tOSU's postseason tourney selection?

I'll take the risk of a 10/1 pay out. I hit a 12 seed without thinking...those are usually smaller conference schools. I think they have a shot at an 11 seed, which are usually some of the last big schools to make it in. If they beat MSU and win 2 tourney games... that would put them with a good enough resume, with quality wins over MSU, Purdue, Cuse and Florida.

Isn't 20 wins the standard amount to expect to get into the NCAA Tourney?

I was thinking with 23 wins and at least one good win (last night) that our chances should be pretty good.

Am I off base with this?

It really depends on what teams those 20 wins came against and a variety of other factors.

We only have 18 wins now and even if we win the Big 10 tournament championship we could only get to 22 wins. There is no way we can have 23 wins during this regular season.

Well considering we'll have the auto-bid for winning the conference tourney, yes, I'd say our chances would be pretty good with 23 wins (ie winning out) :lol:

I will wait to make a pick until after the first game in the Big Ten tourney.....I believe if they beat MSU and get a win in the first game in the tourney, they will tip toe into the dance......:)

Since we most likely have locked up the #5 seed we will probably play MSU in the first tournament game. So beating them twice in 5 days will make it even sweeter:biggrin2: We can't get to 23 wins even if we win the Big 10 tournament... can we:confused:

We're 18-12. Beat MSU, and finish 19-12. Then win all 4 rounds of the tourney, and we get to 23...
Quarterfinals = 1 game
Semi Finals = 1 game
Championship = 1 game
Total games played in Big 10 tournament = 3 games or am I still:confused:

Also, if we do not make it to the NCAA tournament (which we will) I do not think we can play a opening round at the Schott because of the Ohio basketball championships or am I still I thought we played a game, or at least the women did, at St. John:tongue2:

If Minny also wins out, tOSU could still be the #6 seed and have to play 4 rounds - so 23 wins is possible, but would definitely lock up an automatic berth.

I guess some of my logic was being based on the fact that I think Tubby's boys have to play at Indiana and at Wisconsin or is something very close to that.

At Indiana and at Illinois (which is very close to Wisconsin :wink2:). Unlikely they'll win both, but it allows the possibility of 23 wins.

Hah! Ya, I misread the box score or something. I think I read Purdue's schedule on accident. I was thinkin that 23 seemed like a lot more than what we had... lol
