I cannot recall how many Cross pen sets I received for graduation, from high school to grad school. I never liked the feel of them and they just sat in their little boxes.

For pencils, i just ilke the standard bic mechanical pencil. its light, simple, and erases great.

I'm a fan of the Pilot pens like these.

Mont Blanc. Write a bit with one of those, and you won't want to use anything else.

However, since my wife is in the medical field, most of the pens I use are drug-rep freebies.

I use a red Pilot pen like the one I pictured above for that!

For my birthday this year, I received a Waterman fountain pen I absolutely love - it's perfect for letter writing.

For everyday use, I prefer roller balls and am currently using a Uni-Ball Vision Elite.

I cannot stand ball point pens.

I have a Waterman and a Dupont - both are excellent.

For everyday writing - whatever is handy.
