What song are you listening to right now

andrew bird - self-torture

by the way, i found a great website for, among other things, streaming songs through a flash player. the site is called the hype machine. here is a synopsis of the site:
The Hype Machine tracks a variety of MP3 blogs. If a post contains MP3 links, it adds those links to its database and displays them on the front page.

Some of the frequently accessed tracks are cached by the Hype Machine server, much like Google Search caches web pages, to reduce load on the bloggers' servers and protect their bandwidth. Those tracks are NOT available for download, but you can preview them via the "listen" links that are next to each track or using your media player.
apparently, the site is run by those who put together the wayback machine, which is another great website. not only does the site offer streams, but it provides links to the artists' videos on youtube, tour dates/locations, and various relevant blogs. however, i'm not seeing live concerts uploaded to the hype machine like i see uploaded to archive.org.

it's really easy. go to the site, type the name of the artist you're interested in, and click on "listen." a flash window then appears with not only the song that you clicked but also the other songs available for streaming. links are provided for itunes and amazon, too.

happy listening.
