I bought some of the Triple 8 for my brother (usually a Grey Goose or Belvedere drinker), and I could tell he was like, what the hell is this? But he absolutely loved it. It's a bit expensive, so we don't drink it very often. Rain is our "everyday" vodka.

Thump, I'm definitely a snob about my alcohol and coffee. NE is not better -- I definitely prefer Colorado and West Coast brews.

I'm not a coffee drinker but I'm not the biggest fan of western alcohol, especially Fat Tire, people in Colorado rave about it but when I was out there last year, I didn't think it was that great.

Just me.

Fat Tire is the bomb. That stuff got me through grad school. A friend and I even took a road trip from Tempe to Fort Collins to visit the brewery.

Did you take the Coors tour while up there as well?

Pretty cool tour.

:sick1:

Sorry you didn't dig the Fat Tire, Thump. Honestly, I loved it when I first moved out here, then became more of a 90 Shilling fan (the flagship brew of the cross-town rival brewery in FC). Needles to say, since my wife has been working for the makers of Fat Tire, I've found myself back in their corner.

They just started selling Fat Tire in Chicago, BTW. Hopfully someday, you can get some on tap from coast to coast.

There was a thread on here awile ago about Vodka. Buy the cheapest vodka you can find and run it througha Brita filter 2 or 3 times and now you got yourself some Grey Gooseesque liquor.

I tried it...it works!
