If I'm drinking it on the rocks. I would select Vox or Kettle.
of all premium vodkas, Ketel One is the dirtiest. and i don't mean that in a good way.

do this: take a glass of Grey Goose and a glass of Ketel One and leave them on the window sill until they evaporate. you will notice that one glass will have a lot of stuff dried onto the side of the glass. that stuff was dissolved in the vodka, but will not evaporate. that shit is the impurities that come from cutting corners in favor of cost.

absolut is overrated. they benefit from incredible marketing, yet they use column distillation, and claim to 'triple distill.' it is a lie.

Grey Goose, Chopin, Belvedere and the true Ultra Premium vodkas use pot stills, and filter the alcohol in between the separate distillation processes. this yields better product, and justifies the more expensive cost.

Goose, IMHO, is the best. they use four different grains, it's triple distilled, and filtered through Champagne limestone. however, if i'm mixing, i would use Skyy. #1, it's made in the U.S. #2, it's relatively cheap, and #3, they use pot stills and triple distill.

Nasty,

Did you find a bottle yet? I drank a few over the weekend and only have 1/3 of a bottle left... time for me to restock as well...

I have not been able to find it. I was in Florida last week, and never made it to a liqour store to check. If you think the folks at Hoffmans would order some more in, I would buy at least 4 bottles. My other option is to use one of the mail order sites and have it shipped to my brother in WV. They don't restrict alcohol by mail down there, the only problem is he lives in an apt and he is worried about it sitting on his front porch all day if he is not around. Let me know if you can get them to order some in.

I was afraid of that... It seems as though Huffmans will not do it (although I talked to a sales rep, not the manager)...

I'll call the distributer and let him know he has purchasers if he can find a place to purchase a case... hopefully they'll be more helpful than last time (basically told me to find a dealer that would purchase a case, and left it in my court instead of taking care of the matter)...
