What is your exercise routine?

Trainer tried to kill us this morning. I made the mistake of saying I like the longer workouts. 45 minutes of cardio and strength with no breaks.

The odd thing is my heart rate did not get super high, but I was sweating like a whore wearing a rubber suit in church. And I normally don't sweat much during workouts for whatever reason.
When I'm out of shape I don't sweat but once I get into shape I sweat buckets for some reason

Anybody do Tai Chi? I’ve been looking for something to supplement/change up my workouts. I’ve tried Yoga but it’s frustrating for me.

I’ve been seeing some things on Tai Chi and even searched som YouTube videos on it. Watched part of one and it looks intriguing. Looking to see if anyone has any experience and suggestions.

A) I assume you are many decades younger than me. In my day I did many years in a Chinese martial arts.. hard core stuff and never understood the purpose of Tai Chi.. at least if a person actually intended it to defend oneself... a perfect 'Tai Chi' block will result in getting a fist right into the noggin... if you don't block with the same force and strength as the inbound punch... forgetaboutit.. but if it's yoga mentality... OK.. I guess
B) Yoga can come in handy, especially the older you get
C) If it was convenient, I would tell my sons to look into boxing

Early 60s. I did Taekwondo for a few years in my 20s. With lifting and run/walking, I’m looking for something to help with staying loose and flexible.

I know Yoga would probably be the best bet. My biggest problem with Yoga is I’m a bit uncoordinated and struggle with the poses.

I haven't done any Tai Chi exercises, but I have ads for days on YT for them.
My routine is gym oriented and I habe intentions on getting back into yoga as my shoulders get a little bit better. Found out I have arthritis in both of them last month. Glad I got an answer for the discomfort, but not much I can do with the answer.

I've dabbled with Tai Chi recently, and would actually like to do more of it. Certainly isn't for self defense, but it is good motion and body control stuff, I guess. Meditative. I have also done yoga over the years, but haven't done much more than keep my back stretched as needed for a while now. Which is to say, my routine is still dominated by laziness. lol
