What is the loudest "moment" that you have heard in The Shoe?

Michigan 2004 when Ginn headed down the sidelines on his punt return.

N.C. State 2003 when we stuffed Rivers at the 1/2th yardline in the 3rd overtime....that was very loud.

Texas 2005

Iowa in 2003 was also very loud for the whole game, it was a tight defensive battle.

Northwestern of 2001. That game was played at night, and it was very loud for that one.

The loudest game that I have ever witnessed was the 1994 Militiagan game. I will never forget how loud it was when Todd Collins tripped over his center and fell into his own end zone for a safety. We were screaming at each other and couldn't hear a word anyone was saying. The Dispatch wrote about the noise that day as the loudest they had had heard, and how the entire Buckeye community deserved that win.

great thread. Nice reading about great games that I'VE been able to attend at the shoe...
Notre Dame. The whole game. Especially when Terry scored on Possum.
scUM in 2002 when Navarre fumbled.
When the scUM QB tripped in the endzone in 1994.

I believe it was '86 scUM.

I was in the first row on the 50. We were so loud we got two penalties called on us. After the first we took out our keys and shook them. I have never heard anything like that ever again. The penalties got them in FG position and they kicked the FG to win 26-24.

Does anyone else remeber that? I saw a lot of games in the 80's and my memory marks that 50 yardline vantage point in '86.

I remeber that game distinctly. I was ten years old and my dad took me to that game - the jingling of the keys definitely sticks out. Back then they used to penalize for too much noise - I think they called it provisional time outs or something like that. We got the ball back and had a chance to win the game with a field goal, maybe 42 yards from the hash. I thought it was good at first, but our kicker had hooked it. What an experience though..

i was at the scUM game last year and ginns 82 yd td was probably the loudest i've ever heard it. Hawks return against NU was loud for me, even in the C Deck. Also...I was getting a brat when youboty had the INT.....it was deafening even by the concessions.

When the scUM QB tripped in the endzone in 1994.

I have to agree, these are the three loudest wowents I rewewber in the Shoe. If I had to place one as the loudest, I guess it would be against the Dowers.

i was at the texas game but i was up in row 26 of 11C so it was never deafening but you couldnt talk to the guy next to you however if you were down in AA, A, or B in the corner where santonio was everybody would have been yellin downwards into that direction and it echoed prolly so i bet it was insane down there.

Yes, I was at that game sitting in C15. It was pretty loud, but the loudest moment ever in the Shoe for me was during the '83 Indiana game.

And everyone says "What? Indiana?"

Actually, the loudest moment ever at the Shoe came during halftime of that game, at the very moment that Woody Hayes came out to dot the 'I' in Script Ohio. It was deafening.
