'Santa Claus does not exist' school tells stunned kids

A primary school has been accused of spoiling Christmas for pupils after a lesson telling them that Santa Claus does not exist.

Children as young as nine were told that only 'small children believe in Father Christmas'.

And yesterday their parents criticised teachers for taking the 'magic' out of the festive period.

That's awesome...

Kind of reminded me of a story I heard about a little boy who went up to the alter in church during a Christmas service and gave away his new toy car when the minister said that it was Jesus' birthday. The little boy didn't know any better, and he felt like Jesus should have it. Little people's minds are amazing.

Nine years old and you still believe in Santa Claus? My friends and I had it figured out by about 6-7 (I can recall making fun of kids in the 1st grade who still believed in Santa Claus) and we were level 12 dumbasses. I shudder to think how stupid the kids were who were 9+ and still believed in a fat dude bringing presents in the middle of the night.

My oldest is nine. If she has stopped believing, it would be news to me. She put a letter under the tree two weeks ago asking Santa to drop off an elf until Christmas.

And Stoo.. The principal thinks Ali may be the smartest kid in the school. She's in third grade doing all fifth grade work.
