I don't know about you, but there is a whole lot of mockery and ridicule in this world. Most of it is because of the stupidity/hilarity, not how much we subconsciously care about it.

There you go talking over the head of a Georgia fan again. You know you cant use words like "most" or "of". It just confuses them.

If only we were evolved enough to overturn cars and set fire to our own property instead of doing the "S E C" cheer when we win. :tongue2:

When MSU starts celebrating the greatness of the big ten after dispatching WMU, then we'll truly have arrived as a species.

having this so called network that will go into over 70 markets nationally, including columbus ohio?

sounds fine to me. in the grand scheme of things it might help your recruiting to an extremely small degree. but considering the amount of high school talent in sec states, the current media barrage surrounding the sec, geographic area and climate, and sec school's singular focus on the outcome of football games from a financial point of view. the sec is already sitting atop a perfect storm for college football.

Weren't most of those 70 markets in syndication already in place? I know here in Cincy we already got the Jefferson Pilot game every Sat. on Ch. 64. It was usually a lousy matchup with even worse video quality (due to the station it was on locally) - but more college football is always welcome at my house.

I don't think the syndication is gonna have much of an impact at all, even if it was expanded a bit. At least around here they're just rebranding the games that were already being shown or perhaps filling the spots left open when ESPN+ lost the games on the Big Ten undercard when BTN was started.

I think the biggest things to come out of this new deal are of course the money, but also the way ESPN is likely going to double down on pimping the SEC. Also, I don't think it's really gonna impact the way the remaining major conferences get their teams out there, and that's where I think we're gonna see big increase in exposure. I look forward to the possibility of getting access to even more games from out west especially once the other conferences make their move to try to keep up.

Agreed - Georgia hasn't beaten Florida often in the past 15 years. But maybe next time we do we can burn some couches in the middle of the road to express our excitement and civility.

i am not familiar with what you have had on tv in the past, i just know it will be an sec game every week...i wholeheartedly agree with your post.

the sec is also starting something called sec digital....i guess the website will be free and will run updates on scores and highlights of games. You will be able to download games as soon as they are OVER and put up on the site and also are able to download from thousands of hours of archived video..it will be like i tunes..coupla bucks to download a game.

these arseholes n the sec are always always looking for ways to take our money and it really makes me sick...they know that the sec is the ticket and that we love our football as much as anyone...and they are exposing that..i hate it.

Or we could combine both of our fine conference football cultures, and Vandy and Mississippi State could burn couches upon hearing of the win too.
