What Did You Get For Christmas?

We got to bring our chihuahua home from the animal hospital. Our next door neighbor's husky ripped a hole through our fence last Tuesday and mauled her when I let her out to do her morning business. Luckily, I heard her yelp and got out there before she was dead. She had broken ribs and lots of tissue damage, but all vital organs were intact. Our neighbors paid for the surgery - $4k to put the poor little thing back together. She's doing as well as could be expected.

I don't even know where to begin.

It was a tight Christmas this year, mostly spent on the kids.

This year my wife and I continued our tradition of giving gifts that keep on giving to each other. Two years ago it was a new furnace, this year it was refinancing our home mortgage. We are exciting!

I got to spoil my 3-month-old baby girl, who is just old enough to laugh at all the commotion and grab onto the stuff we give her.

Also, my wife got me a Tiffany glass OSU lamp for the office, and her mom got me The Winner's Manual, so that's cool too.

I got (another) perfect baby girl for Christmas.

My parents came south to visit this year, and that was enough for me (they did slip me some cash, which was nice!)
