What can "Da U" do for you?

I for one am glad that the U started up a football team. Black kids never got the chance to play ball until then. I'm sure people like Bill Willis' grandson had to appreciate an opportunity like that - the kind that you just couldn't get at a place like Ohio State, Nebraska or Notre Dame.

No no no... it's economically challenged white kids he's talking about... and atheists... I think.. it's hard to say. All I know is he never mentioned race.

Pretty sure he was talking about Dat Nguyen.
Never heard of him.

Not sure why I thought of this.. probably the first name.. anyway, there was a LB who played for A&M his name was Dat Win. I don't think he was rich or white... he may have been christian. Whatever the case, it wasn't Notre Dame. He was pretty good. Credit goes to The U

Wow.

Taos has real competition for the FAIL title.
Never, Taos is in a league all his own man, pass the 'shrooms.

Comical. I have a little experience with economically-disadvantaged kids. In fact, in my experience I've learned its people like you who hinder these kids. The excuses, the 'blame game', the 'you won't fit in" BS...

People like you enable the vicious cycle. Read Ruby Payne, Champ. It will enlighten you.

Kids need opportunities...they also need discipline, proper modeling, and especially accountability.

A temporary crutch does nothing for these kids. In fact, it adds to the heap.
And that is an intelligent on point riposte grad.

Wow. When did I mention that all these kids are black
Something about "Rich white kids" vs. da U's student athlete intake - I mean what fucking color were you alluding to other than poor shades of brown, really?

Aside - which "rich white kids" were the core of Holtz's winning teams at ND? If not "rich white kids" then who were the core players? (How few had dimes to rub together - take a guess). As was posted before, the Pell Grant abuse discussion at Da U is not a black and white, rich vs. poor issue at all. It is about Da U paying players, breaking rules.

I think when kevwhenever steps up to the plate and says he was indulging in simplistic, shallow, ill-informed characterization, then this likely ends.

NASCAR is like Notre Dame, whites only. Bad example.

Brad Daugherty disagrees....

Brad Daugherty doesn't give a damn about NASCAR.

He's just another victim of that American decree Kev was talking about earlier. You know, the one where we all got together and planned to keep people down and then be angry that they aren't great Americans?

He'd rather be playing football for the U.
