Integration at major programs in the South happened before Howard Schnellenberger showed up at Miami. The Bear Bryant/Sam 'Bam' Cunningham story has already been referenced a couple times in this thread. Revisionist history is "stupid nonsense".

Yes, but Miami wasn't a major program back then, so it didn't count.

yeah, I had the same feelings, it irked me when they talked about how they revolutionized defense, yeah, no team in college football ever played good defense before the 80's... idiots

osu will probably have to watch and see how many canes players are on crutches during the game. nothing says swagger like a crutch to the back of someone's head. ask lamar thomas and florida international.

Yea, I felt the same way but I couldn't stop watching it. You would think that the players from that era would have mellowed out a little and realized that they were idiot thugs back then. No such luck. I did like that they shut Brian Bosworth the fark up though.

O/U on personal fouls next year is 4. Watching their pathetic attempt against Wisconsin showed me 3 things.
1. They were throwing tons of cheap shots after the play early in the game. I guess this is their version of proving how much swagger they have.
2. They celebrate after making ANY tackle.....despite the fact that the guy they just tackled either ripped off a 5-10 yard run, or a 20 yard catch.
2. Once the game is decided and Wisconsin was in victory formation, more cheap shots.

This game is going to get ugly.
