Hoka for tennis shoes.
I was actually just quoting/parphrasing Cliff Claven from the final episode of Cheers. Since everyone was going on and on about nice shoes.

You want to know what's better than nice shoes? Having a young staff member warm your feet in between shoots on a TV set to get you comfortable for the next scene. A feet fluffer if you will.

Love my Birks. Just the traditional sandals. Although I know they make casual shoes too.

I will say I avoid any baseball hats with the adjustable plastic thing on the back. Maybe it is just me, but I always break those things.

Back in April I picked up a pair of Rancourt & Co Pinch Penney Loafers in Carolina Brown Chromexcel and have worn them 2-3 days every week since. Easily my favorite pair of business casual shoes. I don't do a lot of walking and it's mostly indoors, but the soles hardly show any wear and the leather broke in right away. The color is beautiful and stays that way with a quick brushing. I found them on a preorder sale for $180, vs retail for $288.

Over the weekend I ordered a pair of AE Courtside sneakers in Walnut Brown. Needed something for a more casual look but really don't like wearing athletic shoes much. Haven't received them yet but I'll report back once I get to try them out.

Been wearing these for about 30ish years now. The price has gone up quite a bit since GenZ has discovered them, but that just shows they have great taste!

Oh, I used to go through two pairs a year in college as it was all I wore, even in the winters.

A number of years ago I was in Normandy for a D-Day thing. Walked into a store and found a pair of Stan Smiths… white with green. Just like college days. Scooped up a pair because I’d not seen them in the States since way back. Shortly after they rolled out over here. So glad they did. Love those things.

Received the shoes and really like them a lot. But, not sure I got the right size. I always fall somewhere between a 10 and 10.5, and this pair of 10's is pretty snug. I've worn them a few days so already out of a return option but might have to eat a bit of cost if I decide to dump them on Ebay or something. Unfortunate as I doubt to see them at the sale price I paid anytime real soon.

Crockett has a couple of limited editions celebrating the 60th anniversary of Goldfinger. I'm out, but they look good.

Switched over my Islays from Dainite to Vibram Londra soles. Way more comfortable, infinitely more grip and considerably lighter and they still have a nice sleek, dressy profile. I was going to do the same to the Moltons, but sadly my cobbler passed away over the Summer and I haven't found a replacement that I'll trust with Crocketts.

Hoka for tennis shoes.
kinda funny.. when we first moved here and my then 2nd grader came home one day crying... he desperately needed new sneakers and we said "why? your tennis shoes are brand new".. he replied "I know.. but I need sneakers"... NJ ruining him day 1...

New Balance here... once you've had Plantar fasciitis, the podiatrists tell you to go here and find models that don't bend in the middle...
Georgia family ONLY buy Hoka

Folks that say Nike or Adidas are telling you they have skinny feet

I have a high instep and as such, generally need wide. Nike is difficult, but plenty of Adidas work for me. I’ve been almost exclusively Adidas for the better part of the last five years.

I do think, historically, Adidas were pretty narrow. Not necessarily now.
