I don't believe there is. If you are leaning towards an Xbox, you may want to wait a couple of months until the Xbox One X comes out. The specs on that thing are ridiculous. And I wouldn't worry too much about storage, either. Xbox One is compatible with external hard drives. I have a Western Digital MyBook 2TB external that works like a champ. If I wasn't so satisfied with my current console setup, I would seriously consider upgrading to the new Xbox One X.

Thanks. I've always had PS in the past and I'm not that serious of a gamer so not sure I need the top of the line, but I'll definitely read up on the Xbox One X before I buy anything.

If you're buying now, go for the Xbox One X. I feel zero incentive to upgrade. The console is great for consoles but it's still a very low end gaming PC in terms of specs. Fortunately they're getting really good at minimizing the degradation and corner-cutting when it comes to the xbox one, so as long as you're a casual gamer, it's a very enjoyable experience.

As a former computer gamer, I mostly traded that in for the convenience, affordability and laziness of couch console gaming and have not regretted it in 10 years. Even when I do buy a screaming fast PC for photo work, I barely use it for gaming despite it's specs that are 2-3x stronger than my console.
Gonna buy a console for the 1st time in a while. Is there any difference in online play capability between a 500 gb & 1 tb console or is the only difference in storage?
You should get the cheaper one and add your own external, because you will fill up either 500gb or 1 tb very fast. The initial game updates are often 2-20 gb. The games themselves are 20-40 gb.

Once you factor in things like Games with Gold or EA Access ($25/yr with 10 hour trials of all new EA games plus the vault with loads of high end games that are now slightly old, ie SW Battlefront and Battlefield 1 just got added), you'll fill that stock hard drive up fast.

One other thing, exclusive titles are not much of a factor any longer. They were a huge one with the PS2, a small one with the PS3, next to nothing with the PS4 and even less so now.

He really jumped on consoles so he could learn how to be a menace in a jeep on Battlefield. Some call me the Evil Kinevil of jeep drivers.

Thanks for all the advice. Appreciate it.

During the month of October I always go back and play the horror/action/thriller games in my collection.
Started off last night with Doom 3 and never noticed just how heavily Carmack and the score producers "borrowed" from Tool.

Seriously, tell me that shit doesn't sound like a combination of 46&2 + Lateralus.

I don't play games as much as I did in my youth, but I am playing Cuphead. Pretty much a throwback to 1930's cel animated cartoons in the form of a side scroller / platformer. Supposedly this game gets pretty frustrating. I've only had time to play the first level so far and it wasn't too bad... yet.

Don't you have a lot of time to play on Saturdays? Asking for a friend.

Frustrating as hell. I love it.

Friend of mine has been going on about this for some time now, mainly because when the game came out he enlisted and missed out on our group of friends playing.
But he's found what appears to be a rather well executed private server/community. With the weather getting colder making basketball and golf no longer an option, I might go full 2004 nerd and play with them.
