What are you currently watching on TV?

“Truth Seekers”, a British paranormal “dramedy” on Amazon, seems pretty fun. Nick Frost is huge and bearded as a wifi tech/ paranormal investigator, and Simon Pegg of course pops in occasionally, along with Malcolm McDowell as the unpredictable dad, so it has a good cast, and production too.

The Great on Hulu. Fucking brilliant. Huzzah!

And His Dark Materials on HBO. Also excellent. Ruth Wilson is such a tremendous villain. Despite a couple casting choices.....McAvoy is meh (might be my bias as I generally do not like hi ) and Lin Manuel Miranda was an awful choice for Lee Scoresby. Every single line he delivers, I do my best to hear Sam Elliott’s voice instead. That helps......but not much.

WOW! channel 224 has WGN America, they are doing 10 Married With Children episodes every Sunday from 9AM to 2 PM. I DVR them and watch the episodes at my convenience fast forwarding through the commercials. Today they ended with season 1 - the pilot show and season 1 episode 2.

Watched the first two episodes of WandaVision. Gonna be honest, I have no idea what the hell is going on, but I enjoyed it and I'm intrigued on where it's going. Not sure this is a spoiler or not but,
I'm surprised how straight they played the 50s sitcom. Like, 98% Bewitched style 50s sitcom, 2% creepy shit showing you just how wrong everything else is.

I fast forward through so much of those 2 episodes. It was pointless "that era" nonsense.

However, I watched the color helicopter piece and I am definitely intrigued by "Who is doing this to you?" parts. If I recall, this is supposed to lead into the next Dr. Strange which has me pumped.

I don't know that they're episodes I'll revisit much, maybe once when the season is over to see how things fit together, but I enjoyed them for what they were.
And I absolutely expected more stuff like the color helicopter, but I actually appreciated the slow burn approach so far...assuming that they speed it up as it goes. I didn't know about the potential Dr. Strange connection and that is exciting.

I stopped reading the link in spoiler as it appeared to just dump info without regard to spoilers for things that haven't aired or come to theaters. But it confirms some info from our spoilers.

Late on this one but everyone is absolutely right about Ted Lasso. Delightful, warm hearted show.

Along the way, I’m thinking it wasn’t anything remarkable but then it kept winning me over (much like the main character does) and by the end you’re left bought into the characters and kindness of everything. That was great and will be an immediate re-watch.

Credit to the show addressing the stresses, doubts, etc we all have in our lives and how to talk about things- with friends/family/coworkers. Like a giant message for therapy while being light-hearted and subtle.

Also loved all the word-play, puns, and references.

WandaVision episode 3...now we're moving. Still mostly "era" sitcom, but that ending...
The hard edit to reset when Vision thinks something is wrong. Pietro. Ultron. The neighbors. The aspect ratio change. The music. Geraldine getting ejected out into reality. Are all the neighbors some kind of actors?
