Just fed a bunch my guinea pigs (er, I mean friends) some homemade sweet/spicy pickled snap beans. I'm learning how to pickle stuff! These had sat in the brine for 3 weeks. Still crunchy, sweet but not sugary, hint of vinegar, dill and garlic. Yay, it worked!
