West Virginia/JUCO/C.W. Post/Kean RB Jason Gwaltney (official thread)

As a player, how would you feel about your coaching telling a potential recruit that you are injury-prone? The same recruit that will be looking to take your job in a few months? As a recruit, I have to ask myself that same question, put myself in the players shoes, is that what I want my coach telling a potential recruit when I am the man?

This sounds like a last ditch effort because of the Jason's heavy push for early playing time.
youre looking at it from the standpoint of a fan who wants this recruit to go to OSU....so you are looking too deep into things to make USC look bad.

it is a valid point....but jason is an 18 year old kid who is getting so much sunshine blown up his butt i doubt he shares it with you.

Guys I split this thread off...

Its a great debate but I'm going by past precedent...recruit before philosophy.

The thread is in Open Discussion as "WStripes and Mass JG Speculation"

That way we keep this thread for JG news...

Gwaltney is just messin with people at this point I mean honestly he said a 46% chance he ends up accross the country. I just didnt like the tone of the article the way he talks about Cushing I just feel Gwaltney is learning toward the Trojans. Hopefully Doc Tressel and Co. can change it around after they visit tommorow

I agree about the 46% thing. But that update has some good stuff going for OSU as well. Lets give this one some time. Remember supposedly his family is for OSU, he is well aware of the depth chart and the stage to be on. This comes down to the invite and a weekend of thought and prayer.

On the roommate thing. That is so overplayed. Every year we see that "I want to be roomates with so and so" When the rubber meets the road that hardly ever works.

There is the link.

He says he wants to room with Cushing so that doesn't sound good.

The thing I don't understand is he says Carrol is straightforward with him. After he says I will have a good chance to play as a freshmen. Did Carrol forget to mention the two all-american rb's they have coming back.

He says they play their freshmen well, every school will play their freshmen if they are good enough and he has to realize that he has a 150x's better chance to play at tOSU. Unless he wants mop up duty.

Both teams will be national title contenders next year and He could easily be the featured back on our team vs. the number 3 on their team if not 4th b/c they have dennis.

He did say if he came here and learned the offense fast enough he would have a shot to line up against Texas next year.
