they are privately held and want to expand at their own pace. my HS business teacher in arizona was constantly trying to get them to let him open one in Arizona. For now they only want to be on the west coast.

You want fries with that?

A company called Beef Products gathers the scraps from the slaughterhouse, including the heads and hooves, to begin making fast food patties. The meat is cleansed by threading it through pipes and exposing it to ammonium hydroxide to kill off contamination from E-coli and Salmonella. Take the cleaned scraps (from multiple cows), grind them all up together, form squares, package in 60 pound blocks, freeze and ship.

Their website describes it a bit more eloquently. :wink2:

I'll have the double heads, hooves and ammonium hydroxide with cheese, please!

Five Guys > Wendys

Eh. I was majorly underwhelmed by Five Guys and I could eat at Wendy's twice for what I had to pay at Five Guys. Won't be going back. Maybe it would be a better value if I liked more toppings on my burger.
I worked at Wendy's in HS and I trust them more than any other fast food burger.

Agreed. Five Guys is good (love the fries), but it's not "fast food". To me, it's like getting a burger at Outback or something.

In-N-Out, picnic style, FTW.

Thing is, BPI's processes are not unique, proprietary, or specifically applied to fast food. Unless you grow/raise the food you eat, or buy organic and grass fed everything, you're eating fast food, even when shopping at your supermarket. The ground beef you get at the market is made by the same industrial system that produces the ground beef that goes to McDonalds.

Ever notice on a package of beef from Krogers that the label reads: Product of USA, Canada and Mexico? 1 lb of ground chuck might have 100 different cows in it. Oh, and manure too. They can't clean the carcasses as fast as they slaughter 'em.

In and Out is the Greatest of All Time
That's preety much the only fast food I'll eat and even then it's maybe once a year. I like their shakes too but not so much the fries. What I like is that their menu is basic, burger with or without cheese, fries, shake or fountain drink. Do one thing, do it well.
