Wendy's planning Buckeye burger

When I think about Ohio food...I draw a blank. This isn't southern bbq central. Not a big seafood state. No dominating cuisine comes to mind. Except perhaps beer. We've got the brewery district, and budweiser (if you consider it beer) hq in Columbus, Cleveland's burning river brewery makes some pretty good stuff as well. I think Wendy's would've done well to do a Brutus Buckeye Beer Brat.

That is a very Ohio specific food that had completely slipped my mind. But they might have some problems getting skyline to approve the Wendy's Skyline Sloppy Brutus Buckeye sandwich.

They don't have to. The article already said that is going to be the Who-Dey burger. "chili, shredded cheese and onions that are standard for Cincinnatistyle chili hot dogs"

Well I had a Brutus Buckeye Burger yesterday and I must say I was unimpressed. It just had too many weird toppings. I'm not positive, but I believe above the lettuce they put salsa on the burger, then the lettuce, bacon, burger patty, and underneath was a mixture of stadium mustard, relish, and onions. All in all, and this will sound weird, but when I was eating it, each bite tasted like a barbeque bacon burger with mustard on it. Not to appetizing, in my opinion. It was for sure a one time buy for me.

Anyways, just thought I'd also let everyone know its at Wendy's now.

Interesting Wendy?s Story

Former NBA player makes $500 million selling fast food

After a celebrated career with the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers, Junior Bridgeman was working the line at a Wendy?s fast-food restaurant in Milwaukee. ?My job was to make sure what you ordered was on your tray and to thank you for coming,? he told an assembled group of active and retired professional athletes hosted by the Allied Athletes Group earlier this year in Atlanta. ?A woman came in and looked at me like she recognized me.? He didn?t think anything about it until the next day, when he heard a woman call into a local talk show and say, ?I think it?s a shame. I was at the Wendy?s and I saw Junior Bridgeman working behind the counter ? if that?s the best these ex-athletes can do?? But Bridgeman just laughed. Perhaps, it?s because the last laugh really is his. He owned that particular Wendy?s plus several others. Today his company runs 162 Wendy?s and 121 Chili?s and is No. 3 on the Restaurant Finance Monitor?s Top 200 franchisee-owned companies, with $507 million in revenue. In addition, he has other restaurant deals in the works.

I really hate bacon on burgers.

No S.hit, dude. I'm with'ya. But the real kicker is relish. I mean really? Seriously? Relish on a burger? Dirty Harry once ripped his boss apart for puttin ketchup on a hotdog, and deservedly so. But RELISH on a burger? Relish? This ain't practice we're talk'in about, this is "relish" I mean "relish" man, not practice, it's "relish." If Wendy's was serious they'd be talk'in about Practice real practice , man but this is Relish. Relish? To hell with "practice, this is "relish" man, I mean relish, not pactice, it's RELISH!
