I usually just make a wild ass guess; however, I'll do a little research this week:
No. 8 Oklahoma State at Iowa State (-6.5)
What do the Cowboys have to do to get a little respect? Iowa State is a near-TD favorite at home despite the fact Oklahoma State has won eight of the last 10 meetings. The Cyclones have bounced back from a tough early start, but the Cowboys are a good team. We respect that.
Pick: Oklahoma State wins 34-31 in an UPSET.

Can a team be both deeply overrated and deeply underrated at the same time? That's what it feels like seeing Oklahoma State as the No. 8 team as a touchdown underdog at Iowa State. The Cowboys beat three consecutive ranked teams to reach the AP top 10, including the same Baylor squad that beat Iowa State. Running back Jaylen Warren has emerged as one of the best in the Big 12 to complement an elite defense. Iowa State's defense is elite as well, but the offense has been equally a slog despite having key production back. Oklahoma State has found ways to win ugly games all year. Oklahoma State is the No. 8 team in the country, racking up a 6-0 record that includes wins over three ranked teams in a row. OSU beat Texas last on week on the road and topped Baylor and Kansas State at home.
Despite Oklahoma State’s impressive resume, Iowa State as a strong unranked team is a 7-point home favorite. The Cyclones lost to Iowa and Baylor this season, and the only team they have beaten that is likely to qualify for a bowl game is Kansas State. Despite all of this, Iowa State is a much stronger team than they appear to be.
ISU allows only 17.6 points per game, which is the best in the Big 12 and ranks No. 14 in the country. Most importantly for Saturday’s matchup, the Cyclones allow only 3.0 yards per carry, which is tied with the Cowboys for the best in the Big 12 and No. 10 in the country.
Oklahoma State loves to run the ball, particularly with running back Jaylen Warren. The question for the Cowboys is if they are break through Iowa State’s stout run defense.
Like Iowa State, Oklahoma State complements their opponents’ tendencies well. The Cyclones are led by senior quarterback Brock Purdy who has a 73.9% completion rate this season. Unfortunately for Purdy, OSU has limited opposing QB’s to a completion percentage of only 56.5%.
In what should be a low-scoring game, the question is over which team can win.
