All the Southern football cult wants us to stop making the playoff because we’ve been the only team to make any real noise against them.

He's following a script that was handed down to him by his executive bosses. His executive bosses are following their legal fiduciary duty to maximize shareholder value and profits (i.e. promote the SEC over the B1G) above ANY other concern. The only thing surprising is that people (not saying you) don't understand that, and that the ESPN talking hairdos like Kirk try and say with a straight face that it's not the case.
