Week 10 Games Discussion

Looking like a classic yard work Saturday.

There is one matchup of two ranked teams - #13Auburn and #14 TAMU (of course the winner here could be catapulted into the playoff picture based on StrEngth of Conference alone.)

Other than that only 3 ranked teams are playing opponents with winning records. Two of those opponents are 5-3 and the other is Liberty (Ole Miss had a choice of playing them or Death).

I like to watch CFB, but geesh.

A boost to Bama's resume no matter what.

Loser barely drops. If A&M wins Bamas GREAT LOSS! gets "even greater". If Auburn wins it sets up a "POSSIBLE PLAYOFF DECIDING" matchup with Bama

I think some of these games are going to be more competitive than a lot of fans think. In some cases, Vegas seems to agree.

Sparty is a narrow favorite at Purdue. Even if I were a betting man I wouldn't touch that either way; but Purdue has a very good defense and West Lafayette is a weird place.

The game between PSU and Maryland will hold my interest at least until it is clear that PSU is still focused and the wheels haven't come off completely. Maryland is a dangerous game for a discouraged team; if PSU makes it past the Terps, they could be a pretty stern test for TTUN next week. The wolverweenies are favored by just 2 points against PSU right now; that line could move a great deal if PSU shows signs of disintegration against Maryland.

Washington has the defense to, possibly, give Oregon a scare. The Ducks are only a TD favorite.

The Baylor-TCU game has the Gary Patterson drama, and the 7-1 Bears are only a TD favorite. If they are caught looking ahead to their showdown against Oklahoma next week, things could get dicey.

It won't be as good as the next three weeks, but it's still November football in a full season, which I now appreciate in a way I never thought I would.

I'd put down the rake for Sparty's let down in West Lafayette if I were you.

Annual Red Bandana game tonight versus the Turkeys. I'm taking BC on the ML at +140.
Real good bet. I got BC and the Under tonight. This kind of game is where Hafley shines and I don't look for VT to score more than 17 tonight. Didnt even realize Jurkovic is back tonight, that just makes it better. Getting points is only a bonus.

FWIW, the Tree getting 10 points at home tonight looks awful good as well. I almost picked them as my upset team but I'm not sure they dont fall just short again

I'm for Auburn this week. Remove A&M from existence please. That cuts Bama's best win down further. Then if they beat Auburn in the Iron Bowl we can always point to the fact that so did PSU, so how good is that win really? Of course if Auburn beats Bama, then Bama is out and we already know Auburn couldnt win the BiG this year. LOL
