5 star true frosh who wanted to come to OSU but didn't really have that option.

Also about their only quality recruit in the entire secondary.

There's no chance Cade survives this charade. The backup C + RT just let their guys instantly into the backfield. JJ calmly scooted outside and completed a pass. Cade can't do that, and they do not have their dominant line from 2021.

The very fact that Simple Jim never expressed any confidence in him after he led them to their best season in almost 2 decades after benching him against UGA was the writing on the wall. McCarthy's ceiling is vastly higher, but from what we saw last year, he was still very raw. Given the tomato cans he'll be going up against this month, it's gonna be a while before we know if they've actually developed him, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I was a part of the DFBIA. Their track record is horrendous.
