I almost pulled the trigger on the Thursday night game, CMU @ Okie State. Better not sleep on the Chippewa's because Lew Nichols is a nightmare. I'm very interested to see how the Cowboy Defense plays without Knowles. I'm be glued to that one even if I don't change my upset pick from Oregon. Game hasn't started yet though.

An interesting note on the Vegas lines this week.

Wiscy is favored by 33.5, and the over is 38.5 (works out to 36 to 2.5), so Illinois State will be lucky to get a field goal. I can’t remember seeing the over only 5 points bigger than the spread.

If I remember correctly, that W.Va. loss allowed the Bucks to somewhat back in the National Championship game against LSU.
Actually, tOSU was #1 in the final BCS standings in 2007. If West Va. had won against Pitt, the Buckeyes would have played RichRod’s Mountaineers in New Orleans for the Championship, rather than facing 2-loss LSU, who were #2 before the Sugar Bowl.

#1 Mizzou also lost, allowing both #3 tOSU and #7 LSU to move to the top 2 spots in the final BCS standings.

Missouri woulda been in the title game had they beat Oklahoma In the Big 12 title game as well.
