Northwestern QB Hunter Johnson was the #18 overall recruit in 2017 by Rivals. Elite 11 participant and Army AA bowl MVP. Went to Clemson and completed 78% of his passes as the true frosh backup to Kelly Bryant.

I’ll be diplomatic and say that right now Johnson is merely serviceable completing 50% of his passes at Northwestern and looking like he doesn’t know the playbook.

NW really missing Ramsey and Bowser tonight.

He might have set an obscure record, though. Hunter Johnson was 11 for 11 on a single TD drive in that game. Averaging about 5 yards per completion, of course.

Yep, I was at the Dyche with BB73 the last time NW wore those black unies. The results were even more horrendous. I'm surprised they brought them back. As for Michigan State - Might be a throwback to their pre-Big Ten days, when they were still Michigan State College.

At the end of the first half, MSU has the ball, 18 seconds to go, 2nd down. MSU calls a time out. Mowins says “NW has three time outs left and they may start using them to get the ball back and see if they can get something going.” Really Beth? With 18 seconds to go they will run three plays and then NW will get something going?
