College Football starts this Saturday! OK, there aren’t any standout games, but the season is starting.

San Diego State and Ohio is one of the more interesting games, a team from the MAC expected to finish top half with a team from the MW expected to be in the conversation as well. Will likely check out that one. Otherwise…woof

ESPN got themselves a clash of titans with that Umass vs New Mexico State game.

2 of the worst programs in CFB. I guess NMSU did go 7-6 last year though. Umass IS currently the worst program. Hope NMSU plungers Don Brown.

NMST hired Jerry Kill, he'll keep them competitive as long as he is healthy.

USC vs San Jose State might be interesting for a bit, I don't expect San Jose State to win by any means, but that game might end up closer than people think. The Spartans are pretty solid not the typical early season G5 tomato can. They have a nice QB (3,250 yards 25 TD/6 INT + 9 rushing TD last year) and one of the better G5 secondary's. Problem is they have no running game and lost all of their pass rush which was the best in the MWC last year. But there is still enough there to stay competitive somewhat.

Pac 12 network of course though, so 5 people will get to watch it

Sadly, one half of my family still carries that Irish Catholic guilt - so I am (in the sense of the history of both programs) looking forward to Notre Dame v Navy.
