Wearing jerseys to games: yes or no?

Should grown men (out of college) wear team jerseys?

  • Why not? It's perfectly normal game attire.

Me and my boys get a kick out of people who where players jersey, we like to yell at them like, "Hey Herbie or Teddy Ginn is that you?....Good Game stud or run north and south number 7".... Most people play a long with it and share a laugh but I have to admit it does look kind of silly when a old fat white guy is rocking a Maurice Clarett jersey!!! I really don't care, but it does make for some good personal entertainment.

Jerseys, I believe, are fine for anyone, it's representing your team, so what is the harm?

Now, if you're like this guy at his age..

.. then there might be a problem.

I perfer to don a jersey from a pro Buckeye to a home game (if I wear a jersey). My fav is to bust out the Vrabel, Jenkins or Glenn jerseys showing respect for the ones that have proved to be foundation for OSU football history. I will occasionally throw on a #7 jersey - hey, its a number that alot of great Bucks have worn over the years and can be worn forever, lol. So, I would say jerseys are okay to wear, its all about support. But, ask me about facepaint and Ill tell you that shit should stop after age 25.

I wear my Scarlet 7 on home dates, and my White 8 on away dates.... and not just to the games.... yes, I'm 35. So? Call me a dork, a homo, or whatever, I'm still gonna be wearing my jerseys on game day.

Same here. I have a #45 signed by Archie that I wear at home for road games and a #47 that I wear to the satdium. And that aint changing because some guy on a message board can't come to terms with his own sexuality.

It is always funny to say, hey look its Katzenmoyer he lost all his muscles.
I dont like jersey's for myself but I dont judge those who wear them. I like the classic hooded sweatshirt with Ohio State in old english.

The only jerseys I wear with a number and name is a football jersey. Looks stupid otherwise. For me, it's #36. My favorite Buckeye of all time, and I love to wear the jersey. For hockey and baseball I stay away from names and numbers. I don't wear basketball jerseys.

I see no problem with it, but I'm not a fan of curent player's jerseys. Just asking to throw money down the drain.

jersey's are fine.

i am of the opinion that you shouldn't wear a uniform number of a player that isn't even remotely realistic to your athletic ability.

if you were a lineman on the left bench in high school, then a #75 orlando pace jersey is appropriate, an 85 mike nugent is entirely inappropriate.

5'2" dudes shouldn't wear qb numbers. really that is the guy who should be honoring the nuge with his jersey selection.

400 pound dudes shouldn't wear tailback numbers, maybe a pete johnson at best.

I'm 6'1" 220 and in decent shape. Can I wear an LB's jersey?

I'm 27 yrs old and have a collection of 8 authentic buckeye jerseys and about 20 authentic jerseys from various pro teams. I agree with alot of you guys though, no one wants to see a 5'5'' 300 lb+ guy wearing a Ted Ginn jersey but I am in good shape and at 27 young enough not to look like an idiot wearing them.

I never realized this was a subject. I dont see anything wrong with somebody wearing a jersey of their favorite team. I usually switch it up between my Hawk jerseys and my hockey jersey.

Here's another question, is it weird to wear an Ohio State hockey jersey to a football game?
