Iowa isn't a small school. And the fact that the game was so close would all but eliminate OSU. @OhioState001, the brand would only matter in a blowout, IMO. OSU won't get the benefit of the doubt this year.

I hear the money argument if it is a clear stalemate. But it wasn't. We lost to an MSU team that barely eked out a win tonight against Iowa, who we didn't play. I just think it would be grossly unfair to put us in the Rose over them considering the circumstances. I don't give a damn how talented we think our team is, you go off the results you have. Iowa gets the Rose and we get whatever scraps are left.

RB... They've got to drop...right now Iowa Is no better than us which is a one loss division champion. I get what you're saying but They've got to drop and I doubt they just flip flop with MSU.

Also consider the momentum.... Iowa just had their heart ripped out and it's fans were hoping for the playoffs. Now they're left with the Rose bowl which normally is awesome but for them I think that was the last thing they wanted. I would imagine it may be tough for them to get up for the consolation that is the Rose bowl this year.

For us? While we had hopes of backing in we had accepted our fates in reality two weeks ago. I think we will be accepting of our fate at the Rose bowl.

Bigger fan base and a fan base that will appreciate being there.

I feel like we're going to the Rose because our fanbase. I don't think Iowa had a chance of going to the Rose it was playoffs or another New years six unless OSU somehow snuck in the playoffs as well

Well what little chance we had to make it has offcially evaporated. I feel like this will end up being a lame playoff. I really feel like bama will boot stomp. Ok will probably trip on their dicks and msu doesn't look like a top 4 team to me at their best and Clemson will play so so. I guess anything can happen but I'm looking forward to it like last year and just because of osu.

The way we played scum was awesome but at the same time stings because we got a chance to see the team's potential finally. Too little too late but if the team that showed up in AA was in the playoffs I would feel like we had a real chance to win it again. Such a tease but at least we got more clarity on why we struggled so much after we put a leash on beck. If he is still here next year I'm going to be pretty pesimistic.

I'm not sure why you have so much faith in Bama they are good/great defense with a mediocre 1 trick offense. If they get in a shootout the can't ride Henry 45 times a game and then they lose.

We will get rose bowl. Committe already got ahead of it by saying they aren't forced to take the b10 champ loser. They know buckeyes will travel and a huge fanbase watches and seeing the defending national champs is way more exciting to the general population than Iowa.

So if it is all about money which it usually is we get rose bowl. If ettiquette plays a bigger factor we won't.

Their d will win the day and there won't be a shootout which is why I think bama will win it. I don't think ok or msu are real contenders. They have a punchers chance of course but I think it will be Clemson and bama with bama winning. I hate bama but I still see them winning.
