PETA has idea for new Redskins logo

PETA has another zany idea up its sleeves, offering a (presumably) tongue-in-cheek suggestion recently regarding the ongoing controversy with the Washington Redskins.

With a growing number of people believing the Redskins moniker is racist and offensive to American Indians, members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals say the team should keep its name as is, but instead of using a Native American as its mascot, the new logo should be a potato — a redskin potato.

Redskins to start Kirk Cousins this week and sit RG3 "for health reasons". This Snyder, Shannahan, Griffin soap opera is pissing me off. So much hope after last year. So little of the success attributed to Alfred Morris, who has been a beast even without RG3's threat to run.

Fire Shanny, get a new coach that is going to run this team effectivly, and KEEP SNYDER OUT OF THE LOCKERROOM. Let football people make football decisions.

It has been a train wreck of a year. I am behind RG3 being held out - the offensive line is a joke and he gets destroyed each game. I do agree with clearing house in regards to the coaches; and especially with keeping Snyder separated from the locker room. But please, for the love of god, do not hire another head coach retread (see: Lovie Smith).

they won't hire just some typical retread. dan snyder has to make a splash with everything he does. so he'll hire some marquee name that is not nearly suited to do the job. he'll then proceed to take his new found cap space and squander it foolishly and the cycle will repeat itself in 3 more years.

I am not sure Shanahan is the problem as much as Snyder is. Snyder's dumbass deals have hamstrung the franchise as has his constant meddling. I don't think Shanahan got stupid overnight. I was pretty surprised when he took the job with this train wreck of an organization.

When Roger Goodell said 9-of-10 Native Americans support the Redskins name, I kind of wish someone (in the media) would've called him on that and say provide the study or information he's referring to.

Even if they did call him out, he would've given a PC response (and talked around it).
