I think it is very conceivable that 19-21 year olds would be less than fired up for a rematch against a team they already killed this year in the same bowl they played in last year, both times because they barely lost the CCG. Conversely, Washington won three straight to get here, their first bowl game in years, and they get a chance for revenge.

That's a lot of emotional motivation for a bunch of kids. I wouldn't underestimate it.

I don't mean to say that it couldn't be a factor - but my read on Nebraska's effort tonight isn't that they're coming out flat. My read is that Washington has prepared and executed well (especially on defense) and that Nebraska doesn't have a counter for it.
