Washington +13.5 vs Nebraska (ov/un 52.5) 12-30 10 ET, Holiday Bowl

They're okay.

They just don't give a damn about going to the same bowl game they played in last year for a rematch against a team they already crushed this year.

I don't think this is a letdown game. I think the book is out on this one-dimensional team.

I don't mind the call to go for it. I'm usually an advocate for collecting points whenever possible, but in that case a field goal changes relatively little while a touchdown would've changed everything. With they way they've been getting in the backfield, they might end up getting two points out of this anyway.

They're one dimensional, but they've been that all season.

I think it is very conceivable that 19-21 year olds would be less than fired up for a rematch against a team they already killed this year in the same bowl they played in last year, both times because they barely lost the CCG. Conversely, Washington won three straight to get here, their first bowl game in years, and they get a chance for revenge.

That's a lot of emotional motivation for a bunch of kids. I wouldn't underestimate it.

And there it is...

I don't think Nebraska will be all that tough of a game next year unless Martinez or someone else steps up as a passer. Ohio State will shut down one dimensional teams.

I wouldn't get too comfy with that game based solely on this performance. They did win 10 games this season.
