What?

There were 2 games between these 2 teams and it was settled twice. Once Nebraska deserved to win..the other time Washington did. In sports..championships aren't generally about who the most talented team is, it's the team that plays the best when they have to.
Well, I guess Nebraska can take some solace in winning the September 18, 2010 Meaningless OOC Game Bowl then.

It's a shame they didn't play the Holiday Bowl on September 18.

Again, I don't think Nebraska lost because they came out flat. It didn't look to me like they quit until the 4th quarter when they were already whipped and knew their system didn't leave them any chance for a comeback.

Taylor Martinez is Tate Forcier with Tim Wakefield's arm. He's a good runner, but he's a lousy thrower. Including this bowl game Nebraska lost three of their last four. Don't forget, they also lost to a Texas team that's sitting at home right now - in a game where Nebraska supposedly had all the motivation in the world. I think they just aren't that good of a team yet, and that they feasted on a weak Big XII (1-4 so far in bowls) that is mostly getting exposed this bowl season.

Watching the replay this morning and you can tell that Nebraska has no desire to be at this game. Kind of reminds me of how we looked when we got smacked by Air Force back in the Cooper days.
I watched it too, I thought they looked unprepared. I think they thought all they had to do was take the field. Once they figured out that they were in a fight they tucked their tails and ran.

Make no bones about it, my Huskers totally stunk it up in the Holiday Bowl, it was extremely painful for this Husker fan to watch.

Careful though, with your "weak Big XII that is mostly getting exposed this bowl season" as that comment is already coming back to bite you hard. I believe at present the Big XII is 3-4 and the Big Ten is 2-5. I've personally already transferred my allegiance to the Big Ten and wish they were making a better showing in bowl games, but face it - both conferences are stinking things up pretty badly this bowl season. I'll be rooting for the Bucks tonight to at least make the record 3-5 for the Big Ten.
