Two things of interest that I pointed out before to watch were the starters. Matta had Q and Amir start the first half and Sam and Rav start the second. I guess he hasn't really decided who to start. But he did bring Sam, Rav and Shannon in during the first substitution, so I do expect him to go 8-deep this year regularly, and Trey will probably get some important minutes on an irregular basis due (whenever foul trouble strikes in the post).

Thomas 1 for 6 from 3. He loves him some 3 pointers even though he not that good at shooting them (about average).
Amir Williams did not score much, but he had 5 blocks in 14 minutes. He will certainly not be anywhere near the offensive threat of Sullinger, but he will be much more of a defensive prescience.

My major concern is finding a consistent secondary scoring threat to complement Thomas.
Smith provided that he can score in bunches, but can he do it consistently?
Can Ross be good enough on defense to give him enough minutes to do his thing on offense?
Can Craft & Scott knock down enough jumpers to keep the defenses honest?
How many alley-oops can they throw to Sam Thompson each game?
Will Williams & Ravenal combine to average double figures?
These questions?and many others?will be answered in the next episode of...Soap
