Wake Forest: all the Ivy League attitude, all the ACC education :shake:


It's too bad too, it's a good school (that much better than any other?...debatable) and I actually admire their football program a great deal for doing more with less than probably any DI school can or does. I know some fine poeple who went to Wake...but it looks like they have their share of assclowns too.

The bottom line is college is entirely what you make it: you can be a genious and go to Mount Union, and obviously you can be an idiot and go to Wake Forest.

Gosh that wake board is just too enjoyable... beyond claiming that matta won with prosser's recruits and then left the cupboard bare (he landed xavier's best class before he left)... now they've stooped to a new low :)

I too get the feeling we are about to be played by our "heavy lean" for over a year. What Satan wants Satan gets. Bring on Rivers, Crittenden, and Smith and well be VERY good for years. OSU could be a one year wonder.

That board is starting to resemble BN in the wake of the fred davis fiasco.

if conley and oden commit to osu, that entire board will crash and burn.

I still love how the moderators talk trash to everyone and threaten to ban osu posters from there. What a pathetic bunch.

I just read through almost the entire WF thread regarding Mike Conley, and may I note just how lucky we are to have a forum such as Buckeye Planet where visitors are invited to share their opinions and are respected if they provide an informed, intelligent viewpoint, even if we as OSU fans disagree.

A member at the WF site referred to an OSU poster as an unwanted, uninvited visitor. I'm happy to know that we, as a group, are more tolerant of diversity and differing opinions (unless they come from NDChief, in which case the hell with him...just kidding...maybe :wink2: )

There is a distinct possiblity that when Oden and Conley verbal that their board will completely turn into ash and blow away.:wink2:

As each day goes by and Conley and Oden gets closer to the OSU visit, the more confident I am that they will verbal on or soon after their visit to OSU.

On a side note, their is a lot of positive things circulating for OSU at the Spiece Tourney in Ft. Wayne regarding Conley and Oden.:wink2:

I believe that OSU is his leader at this point I said it in the chat on wednesday and ever since my return from real deal. While Wake is not out of the running it gets more difficult by the day as more and more of Conleys friends jump to OSU.

Top 100 guy Jamil Tucker and Luke Harangody also want to play at OSU and Tucker is just waiting on receive a offer. He already has a few from UCLA,USC, and I believe Arizona. What I find also strange is that these are top 100 guys who know they will not start over the Spiece guys but still want to play and just come off the bench. That is pretty rare nowadays and it just shows you the respect that Conley,Cook and Oden command with other guys.

Man! That's sounding pretty good for the good guys.

BTW... living down here in ACC country the joke is that Wake is everyone's second favorite school. NC State, UNC and Duke fans all hate each other, but all three agree that Wake is the next best after their school. They all see Wake as harmless.... like Northwestern.

Let them flame away. Buckeye recruiting has taken center stage on the WF board. Can anybody recall the last time the fans of a supposed ACC basketball power were worried about their team competing against Buckeye coaches for top basketball recruits?
