The prospect they got was Shamaine Dukes.....here is the article. I guess Prosser has seen the writing on the wall and is looking at other options, you have to love it if you are a Buckeye fan.

The Wake board is flat lining as I type this.:biggrin:

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons accepted a commitment this week that hopefully can help offset the loss of Chris Paul for the short term. The Deacs went into Georgia to land a senior guard.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons were in the hunt for more help at the guard position next season. On Tuesday, they appeared to have found a guy to assist them.

Shamaine Dukes, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard/point guard out of Cuthbert (Ga.) Randolph-Clay, High committed to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Tuesday.

“I think he’s one of the more underrated players from the state of Georgia,” Dukes AAU coach Wallace Prather said. “He’s won two state championships.”

Dukes was watched by the Deacons at the Kingwood Classic when he ran with the Celtics. The Demon Deacons also went to Georgia to do a school visit with Dukes and the commitment came shortly thereafter.

Wake Forest remains in the hunt for some of the top tier point guards from the Class of 2006 like Mike Conley, D.J. Augustin and Tywon Lawson. Duke’s, a member of the Class of 2005, should provide depth at both guard positions while leaving the Deacons the opportunity to continue pursuing guards in the 2006 class. Dukes was the Albany Herald’s co-player of the year. His high school team was 61-0 the past two seasons. As a senior, Dukes averaged 24 points, 8.4 assists and 7.7 rebounds.

Even with the big Dukes commitment, Prosser apparently has even more in the works.

6:30 am Friday: Arrive Columbus, Ohio (obviously doesn't stop to sleep Wednesday night)

12:30 pm Friday: Arrive the Ohio State University. Tell students that the men's basketball team just won the national championship. Surprised students exchange casual high-fives. Change strategy. Tell students the 1st string offense just scored a TD in practice. Mass riot ensues. Put down by pepper spray as Conley, Oden, Cook, Lighty, and Young walk by. Young takes a cloud of it in the face and leaves campus.

2:30 pm Friday: Trip the sixth string punter as he walks by, causing him to stub his toe.

3:30 pm Friday: Sabotage all the elevators on campus.

5:30 pm Friday: Conley, Oden, Cook, and Lighty go to tour the buildings on campus, they are forced to walk up staircase after staircase. Lighty's injured knee gives out, and he topples down 12 flights of stairs. He is rushed to the hospital, but all the city's doctors are busy treating the injured punter. Lighty de-commits.

7:30 pm Friday: Pick up a look-alike of Oden's girlfriend outside Columbus.

11:00 pm Friday: Return to Ohio State University (she drives.)

12:30 pm Saturday: Have said lookalike begin making out with every male in sight. Oden sees her and is depressed. Matta promises that "I can give you everything she could and more. I've been taking lessons from K. Did I mention you have angellic eyes?" Oden leaves immediately.

11:00 am Saturday: Drop a bucket of buckeyes on Cook's head. In a daze, he sees mascots with giant nuts for heads circling around him and chanting, "You could start the next Scoonie Penn era! You could start the next Scoonie Penn era!" Cook de-commits.

3:00 pm Saturday: Tell OSU students a football player, Water Tree, is visiting. Students begin chanting the nickname to Conley when he returns to campus. A booster gets confused and offers him $6000. Desperate to avoid violations, Matta rushes out to stop him. The sun's beams fall squarely on him, and he immediately crumples into a tiny ball of ash. Jim O'Brien laughs in the background. Conley leaves.

3:00 pm Sunday: Hold joint press conference to announce verbals of Conley, Cook, and Oden to Wake Forest University.

7:00 pm Friday: Arrive Winston-Salem.

If OSU lands 5+ blue chippers, I call BS and will predict a massive investigation that leads to the death penalty in football and basketball. They stand to land more than UNC or Duke ever has in one season. Oh and they sucked last year too.

That is so pathetic, they have no idea that Matta has been recruiting these guys for several years. I guess we should thank Espin for all the misinformation and half truths that have given the impression of our athletic programs being out of control....but then again, anyone with any knowledge of the situation would never post something like that....

It is simply killing them that a school from the north, known as a football school, that apparently sucked last year (they forgot about beating Illinois and 20 wins) and last but not least is currently on probation....is taking away a top prospect from their school.......:roll2:

Here is a good one to, it makes absolutley no sense to me.....

I would definitely give the nod to Wake as far as "campus aesthetics" goes, but I am pretty sure none of these guys are making their college decision based on which campus is prettier...

that is my favorite part. i think it was newyorkbuck that went over there and tried to have a rational conversation and asked the mods to keep things under control. The mods proceeded to sear and tell him he was unwelcome and offer subsequent banning.

It's totally destroying them that they are at best 3rd fiddle in the state and a northern "football school" is on the verge of submarining their potential recruiting class.

and as for trips to the carolinas on my spring breaks growing up....thank you to the few cute ladies i could find for showing me so much hospitality.....they were amazed to learn that not every male only owns shirts and hats with a big 3 on them....and some fathers make more than 15k per year....

I can't decide what would be more fun...rubbing in our stealing "their" kids, or posting the most ridiculous and uncalled for posts ever only to see how long it takes until we're all banned. That NASCAR board was HILARIOUS. That was the last doozy. I was in tears.
