LOL, funny that they were saying how they were so much better of a program than us, but we win the big ten, get a 2 seed in teh tourney, they have to win games in their conference tourney just to reach the NIT and then lose to the 10th ranked team in the same league where they thought they were better than the first ranked team.

But to be honest I think Minny is a tourney caliber team if they don't lose Greer early in the year, and especially tough on their home court.

I am so glad we didnt have to go there this year.

that loss left them without a winning season (17-17 IIRC).

I really wish we had quoted more of their gems in the first post. Maybe we will pay them to come here for an easy game to help build their program :lol:

Posted: 3/17/06 11:22:21 am <HR SIZE=1>How much would it help our program if we could finally get over the hump and get to the Final Four(or better yet...win it all) for the first time in 40+ years?

I know its probably a few years (minimum) away at this point and we've absolutely choked/wasted every previous opportunity to do it, but how bad do we need this? We need the national recognition and respect. All the major national programs have been to a Final Four in the last 10 years alone:

North Carolina, Illinois, Michigan State, Louisville, Duke, GT, UConn, Syracuse, Maryland, Indiana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arizona, Florida, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Stanford, Kentucky, Utah, Minnesota, Mississippi State.....

We belong on this list...let's get it done Skip.

Note to self - Wake hasn't ever won a national title in men's basketball.
Their titles most recently have been in field hockey.

Or maybe the truth is beginning to sink in? (In more than one way).
