Virginia Tech 30, Boston College 10 (final)

Wait until you see Oregon's "Revolution" jersey. Miami's is like VTs, haven't seen Southern Cal's. Tonight's are really just an extension of the Nike Pro undershirts that most Nike teams are wearing, Ohio State included.

Oh, fat punters and kickers are fuckin annoying. Especially Garrett "Dos Equis" Rivas.

I absolutely HATE the new undershirts. They are unbelievably horrible. I mean seriously, lightning bolts? Go out and have a print shop design a shirt for you with lightning bolts like that and wear it into school. You would be mocked constantly, b/c its remarkably tacky and failing miserably in an attempt to look cool.

It sure is amazing how Nike can ruin everything they get their hands on. Now they've turned our sweet metallic pants (to match our helments) into off-white ugliness. They saw how much we hated the translucent white pants from teams like Texas, and so they applied it to ours as well.

Can we get some puffy paint, glitter and ragged holes in the next uniform design, Nike?

I don't mind our dull pants so much, the shiny ones almost had a gold tint to them. I can only hope that the players wear normal white sleeves when it gets colder. Overall, this line is a definite step back from the spring line (the Roethlisberger, Tomlinson, et al).

Let's not forget that the schools have to agree to these changes. After the 99-2000 season, UNC basketball forced Nike to switch them back to the jerseys they wear now. And they had just made the Final 4 in the new ones.

What was that line from Tirico?

"They (the referees) have let two late hits go. They will call the next to keep the game in check."

Ummm....shouldn't they call every late hit if they are interested in keeping this post-whistle garbage under control?

nobody is going to raise hell and force Nike to change just b/c of bland pants and being able to see right thru them. It's not a huge problem, so it wouldn't warrant any pressured changes.

This reminds me so much of 1999 when VT made their run after beating absolutely no one.

Courtesy of Stassen look at how weak their '99 schedule was

Now look at this year so far:

@NCSU 2-4
@ Duke 1-7
Ohio U 3-4
GaTech 4-2
@WVU 6-1
Marshall 3-4
@ Maryland 4-3
BC 6-2

Folks thats a combined 29-27 so far this year for their opponents...forgive me if I am not impressed.

They have a game left with an equally overrated Miami team and a possible ACC champ game vs FSU so hopefully they lose both because no one should be getting the hype they do for as little as they have done.

Actually I'm hoping that they win out, easy schedule or not. If they beat Miami and FSU that's two teams in front of OSU in the BCS who will no longer be taking up an at large bid. We'll need as many teams fighting for that at-large bid to lose as possible (assuming we win out and the winner of Wisc/PSU doesn't lose somewhere else).

If BC would've won last night, they surely would've jumped us in the BCS and I don't think Va Tech would've went below us either. I'm glad they won.
