according to the rivals database, he came in as an athlete/ dual threat quarterback.

its also hard to judge who you would rather have playing as your quarterback because many people believe that vince young will play wide receiver in the pros.

I'd be curious to see how both QB's would do if their teams were switched. Young has certainly played on a better team, with more talent for the most part.

thanks BB, i agree with mili on this one on his comment about switching teams, i think that at the very least mcneal is close to as skilled as vince young, but hes a better decision maker.

Mcneal has a better delivery and looks more like a pro QB prospect. Young looks like a guy playing out of position. Texas is the way better team though! If I'm a pro team looking at both for a QB.....I take Mcneal! If I want a jumbo athlete for TE or WR........I take Young.

that is true, mcneal also makes better decisions, i might take mcneal too, he isnt exactly slow either, im not saying hes as good of a runner as young but hes not to far off, maybe a position change is possible for vince young in the pros? like matt jones.

Vince Young is Going to the NFL

A story on SI/CNN "Truths&Rumors" leads you to believe that Vince Young has already decided that he will opt for the NFL next year:

"Considering LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell's exponential growth, wonder if LSU freshman Ryan Perrilloux wishes he would have stuck to his word and signed with Texas? Throughout the process, Texas quarterback Vince Young reiterated his plan to bolt for the NFL after this season, meaning Perrilloux could've redshirted and had four years, if necessary, all to himself."

Ive heard that earning a degree is extremely important to him. Id put money on him staying for his senior year. Remember, Mack Brown also got Roy Williams AND Cedric Benson to stay for their senior years.

I would be absolutely stunned to see him enter the draft early.
