Verizon Call Center in Dublin

3074326

Assistant to the Head Coach
Anyone know how much it pays? Someone told me they paid surprisingly decent given the kind of job it is, and I'm looking for a quick job to build funds up after my unpaid internship is over next week.

Random, I know.

possibly around 10-12/hour. May also go through a temp agency so that there are no benefits for 90 days.

I could not stand working in a call center. I need to be outside instead of behind a desk 9 hours a day getting yelled at by random callers.

I've never done a call center, but I have this way of calming people down. Always have. I've worked retail at minimum wage pretty much my entire life, so I can't imagine it being any worse than that.

I might have a much better job offer on the table in the summer, but I need something over minimum wage until then/just in case.

my sister in law worked for Verizon in customer service and said it was hell on earth. not dealing with customers but the company itself sucked. they even kept tracked of how long she was in the bathroom and docked her pay if she took too long.

If you want to do call center, I'd suggest going elsewhere.

There's an Alliance Data Systems call center in Whitehall that's looking for people. I drive by it every once in a while and they always seem to be hiring.

Ditto that. My sister worked at the call center for several years. She ended up leaving after they disciplined her for being off work for the week before she gave birth. :shake:

They did pay pretty well, even if it was a shitty job.

I've heard bad things about ADS, too. Not as bad as Verizon, though.

It's not that I want to do it, I just knew they were always hiring. Just need a quick job until summer, when I should get a better offer.

Try to find a call center where you take orders, such as Yankee Candle (Speed FC in Pataskala) or Bear Creek (Harry & David in Hebron), instead of a place where you deal with pissed off people. A friend of mine works for a bank taking calls from people that haven't gotten their child support/ food stamps...and those people aren't pleasant.

Check out Highlights (the kids magazine) call center. Their main office is in cbus off grandview/670. Its very easy work, the people there are great, and theres potential to get a better position after being there a while, which is what I did. Most that call in are just wanting to order, cancel, or have their magazine resent. I worked there for a while as I finished up school. They pay around $10-11 an hour (which isn't the best but it's better than nothing).

Pm me if you want more details.

A friend of mine works at the Verizon Call Center, and doesn't seem to mind it too much. As a newer employee you will be stuck with a terrible shift that no one wants. It is a boring job, but my friend is quite lazy, so that fits him well. The pay/benefits must be decent, he is always out at the bars spending his money.
