I've heard the Evo battery life is shit, but the Shifts is much better.
HTC website says the 24th.Bucknut24;1864992; said:has there been any news on when the HTC Thunderbolt is being released, I'm due for an upgrade on the 14th of February and depending on when it's released I may go with that instead of the X, I don't think Verizon has officially announced it yet

Verizon halts iPhone sales after best "first day"
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Verizon Wireless ended online sales of Apple Inc's iPhone on Thursday evening after what it said was "the most successful first day sales in the history of the company."
The No. 1 U.S. mobile operator said it ceased pre-orders at 8:10 p.m. EST after opening limited pre-orders for the device to its existing customers at 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
Verizon Wireless Chief Executive, Dan Mead said in a statement that in its first two hours of iPhone sales the company "had already sold more phones than any first-day launch" in its history.

in case you-re wondering it’s rumored that the HTC Thunderbolt price will be $249 with a 2 year contract, according to a leaked Verizon document
2. The current edition of the Rolling Stone magazine features a HTC advertisment with Thunderbolt leading the way. Its partners in crime are the unannounced at the time, AT&T destined, HTC Inspire 4G, Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G ( who’s about to receive a little brother ) and T-Mobile’s G2.
It would be kind of pointless for HTC/Verizon to advertise a phone who’s release date wouldn’t be quickly approaching but, judging from what happened with HTC Merge, strange things have a tendency of happening very often in this industry.
