COLUMBUS — The Buckeyes will be looking for some good news this Saturday afternoon when four-star offensive lineman Venzell Boulware issues his verbal commitment at 4:00 pm.
Boulware (6-4 293) is ranked the #10 offensive guard in the 2015 class by Rivals and will be choosing between Ohio State and Tennessee. He also holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Michigan State, Clemson, Penn State and USC.
Some of the 247 guys have the same feeling as they've been setting their crystal balls to TN.just have a feeling he will be singing rocky top. hope im wrong!
4* OL Venzell Boulware announces his commitment to #Tennessee nice pick-up for the #Vols
This is weird. Not because Venzell is an OSU caliber recruit, because we wouldn't be going after him if he wasn't. But the numbers just aren't adding up. We only have maybe 2 spots left, and DL needs to be addressed. The only reasoning I could see behind it, and it truly would make complete sense, is they think 2016 is going to be a lights out year for DL. But not as strong on OL. And considering who we're in on in 2016, I wouldn't doubt that. Although I think we're in on a lot of talented DEs, not DTs. So who knows.Rivals$--Four-star lineman to visit Ohio State
Venzell will visit Lousiville on 1/16, tOSU on 1/23, and Tennessee on 1/31. He says tOSU has never slowed down on recruiting him.

I think you answered your own question. Either....
1) They don't like the word they're getting on some of the remaining DL targets
2) They do and still want to secure back up plans (they can always cancel this OV, plenty of time for this to develop)
3) They expect more spots to open via a variety of reasons
The staff is prepared - this is a good thing.
I know we lose Baldwin, Hale, Lindsay and Dodson off of the line. But there could certainly be attrition at other positions as well. I always believe that championships are won on the Line, both offense and defense. And it's also not unrealistic to see one of our Olinemen move to the defensive side either. I'm not getting my hopes up about Boulware, but he's one of the surprises to watch out for that I mentioned in another thread. This staff will finish strong, and might not always get the guys we as fans know about.
