Maybe Decker's let them know he's thinking about going Pro.
I didn't want to jinx Decker leaving early, but yes that too

4-star Venzell Boulware won't visit UGA or L-ville. Down to Ohio St (Jan 23) and Tenn. (Jan 30).
Since he’s committed to Tennessee, what makes him want to visit Ohio State? “Just to give them another shot, and to get a feel for the university, the campus and the coaches,” he said. “I already had that set up for about a month now. They never stopped recruiting me after I committed to Tennessee.”
What’s the status of his commitment to Tennessee? “I’m still a very solid commitment. It’s going to take a lot to change that.”
Does Ohio State even have a chance? “They probably have a small chance. There’s no telling. We’ll all see on Feb. 4.”
And what about Tennessee fans who are worried? “Don’t panic. I love Tennessee. That’s family. They should relax.”
To me, the staff clearly loves Boulware...then you look at the rest of the class, Feder and Bowen are definitely OTs. Schmidt and Burrell could both play tackle (great feet) but are more suited to the interior. In my mind, why not just take the best available OL that wants in at this point? I would prefer Prince being the guy to finish this class but Boulware is a stud and a guy that this staff has pursued relentlessly, so I would love to see a flip if we can get it.
#OhioState's Kerry Coombs visited Venzell Boulware on Monday night as the Buckeyes start their final push (VIP)bit.ly/1xTZEbj
Boulware, who initially turned down UGA’s invitation to visit later this month, said he may consider a trip with the Bulldogs. “We’ll see after the Ohio State visit this weekend.”
Venzell Boulware thought his recruitment was over when he committed to Tennessee in August.
Then he checked his Twitter inbox. There was a message from Ohio State's Urban Meyer waiting.
"He said, 'You're still going to be a Buckeye.' He never stopped recruiting me, " Boulware told cleveland.com during an in-person interview this week. "It was pretty special because that's Urban Meyer, one of the legendary coaches."
Apparently a prospect's recruitment isn't over until Meyer says it is. That aggressive approach could now pay off for Ohio State.
Because there Boulware stood in the room next to Creekside's weight room Thursday still committed to Tennessee, yet he couldn't stop smiling because he was anticipating his official visit to Ohio State the following day.
"Georgia has been beating down the door to get me to take an official," Boulware said. "They tried to get me to knock off Ohio State for that, but I wasn't going for that. They were like, 'Is there any chance we can knock off Ohio State to get an official this weekend?' And I was like, 'Nah.' "
Imagine Urban Meyer in a similar photo with an Ohio prospect wearing a sweatshirt from another Big Ten school. You can't.
Interesting article b/c they're basically talking about the 2nd tier of states (Ohio, Louisiana, Georgia in no order)... all of which happen to have minimal in-state DIA competition. OSU and LSU do a good job of erecting fences, but for whatever reason Georgia can't manage that. Even if they're a life-long fan, how can you expect to contact a kid a month before NLOI for the first time and build an instant relationship? Whatever, I'll take Richt and co's complacency.
Hope Boulware has a great time at his official and feels good about his choice either way.
