vBook: Michigan 34, Michigan State 31 (Final, OT)

Looks like scUM is pulling out all the stops on the first drive; Hart with a huge run, Henne actually hitting receivers (Mario Manningham will have some career that's for sure), direct snap to Bass for a 98 yard drive for a TD.

Edit:

WOW. Does State have a defense? 14-0, scUM

With Iowa being up 14-0 this goes to show that Illinois is just that bad. So bad that the normal Michigan State letdown waited a week so Michigan can beat the heck out of them.

Why am I at work and not at home watching this game? Oh yeah, had to work some OT on a Saturday and might as well be the week OSU is off.

MSU came into the game with the #23 Rush D in the country - and they are not getting it done against the sCUm rushing attack. 97 yards given up at the half, vs 91 yds per game for their rank. The passing D for the Spartans is looking weaker also - 220 yds given up through the air. Finally MSU has been guily of several key penalties and mistakes.

They can still pull this out, but need to play a half of mistake free football, and get their running game going to keep the ball out of Henne's hands.

Before this game I thought that for sCUM to win they would have too play much, much tougher defense. They are doing so against the run at least, less than 90 yards given up on the ground versus one of the top ranked rushing attacks in the nation coming into the game (MSU was #7 in the nation)
