Va Tech -3.5 at Ga Tech (ov/un 51.5) ESPN2

The winner of this game has represented the ACC Coastal in the ACC Championship game every year since the ACC has been divisionalized.

(In fairness - Virginia Tech has only lost once in that span.)

As a Tech fan/student, I can tell you this is one of those games that has been highlighted for a year. We want to win this just as bad as that game against UGA.

I expect Georgia Tech to come out hot. I'll be there screaming my head off too!

[Fortunately, I'll be able to catch the Ohio State game before this one!]

I really think that VT is going to be ready for this game. They have been dominating everybody on defense including Miami, and then held Boston College to 3 yards in the first half and 28 through the third quarter. I'm a Virginia Tech student so im obviously biased, but I really think the Hokies are as good as anyone if theyre on their game.

I think GT comes out hot but I'm saying VT by atleast 14 in this one.

I agree with this. The Jackets are in a bit of a groove right now and should be able to move the ball effectively (provided they don't turn it over - which they haven't done in recent weeks).

The X-Factor is that you never really know what you're going to get from the Jackets defense. Will we see the team that played the 1st half of the Clemson game and all of the UNC game? Or the Miami/FSU defense?

On the flip side - Va Tech's offense isn't the most reliable thing in the world either.

I'm staying away from this game from a betting standpoint - but I'd feel like Ga Tech wins by 7.

Except Duke. :p

An 8-point victory conveniently ignored by the talking heads stating that VT was on a roll after their win over BC, when it came 1 week after beating Duke 34-26.

Regardless of how full of BS something is, if enough talking heads say the same thing, it starts to get believed.

The same Duke that lost by 8 to I-AA Richmond?

What the hell's wrong with you? That factoid does not help the cause of glorifying VT, and their transformation now that Tyrod can throw.
