Scary. Remember the last time they beat us for a highly ranked VA RB. Derrick Greene was a legend.

Agreed, but the going rate is the going rate for talent. We can't be offering half what other schools are offering and expect to win recruiting battles.Everyone said this about Texas A&M and it was a train wreck.
Overspending on kids outta HS is a really bad investment, IMO.
Thats the story with all of the '26 RBs, none were generational, so might as well get the OH kid. Who's probably just as talented and could end up being a top 20 RB nationallyThis is a little more complicated than what the one line Twitter guys are saying.
Buckeyes like a '27 RB (David Gabriel Georges) more than any of the top '26 guys. They also brought in 3 RB last year and have Akih this year, so it would be a luxury to bring Hiter in.
If he were projected to be Adrian Peterson-that's a different story. They paid JJ Smith a ton of money to go into the most crowded WR room in football. Hiter is a good player and will fit in well there, but he's not generational.

I don't think anyone cares about that right now. And lawyers are chomping at the bit for an NIL deal to be turned downI have not been around the board for a couple of months so I don't know how deep you all have been on this subject, but if the CSC can get their rules out for the enforcement of the House Settlement, it will be interesting to see how many NIL deals, like this one is reported to be, will hold up.
I agree that that the lawyers are chomping at the bit. But as just posted in the NIL thread that because the sports media in 2025 sucks I did a deep dive on the legal implications of the House Settlement. I found there are valid legal reasons to believe that at least the limits on NIL payments the CSC is trying to impose will be approved by the courts. Right now OSU (meaning the Board and Ted Carter) are supporting that effort.I don't think anyone cares about that right now. And lawyers are chomping at the bit for an NIL deal to be turned down
People that want to discuss NIL will go to the NIL thread. This post is about Savion Hiter. Please delete mine and the above posts please, mods.I agree that that the lawyers are chomping at the bit. However, I don't want to dump any more unrelated information in a player recruiting thread. If you are interested in why, respond to my post in the NIL board.
