2026 VA OL Darius Gray (Verbal Offer)

My thoughts exactly. Probably very much in contact with him from VaTech. Would be a great intro to Buckeye Nation if he can bring this one home. Will be very curious to see what Bowen thinks of the talent on the OL the Buckeyes have. All pre-conceived notions gone, and everyone gets a fresh look. Might be some shuffling in the OL pecking order, with the new(er) guys getting more hard looks. We'll see. Go Bucks.

Coach Bowen should factor in well in this one

Could be a Donovan Jackson type of an OOS IOL in terms of impact if we can pull it off. As we saw this season, IOL is absolutely crucial and getting a high caliber guy like Gray there would be huge. It is going to be interesting to see what Bowen does on the OL recruiting landscape, but hopefully this is a big plus for Gray.

The Ohio State football team welcomes a massive recruit this weekend

The Ohio State football team will have a big-time prospect visiting this weekend.

The Ohio State football program has been on a hot streak when it comes to recruiting. They have landed three recruits in the last four days and show no signs of slowing down. The momentum they have right now is real, and it should pick up even more after the Spring Game.

Ohio State is not done going after some big-time prospects. They have some five-star recruits that they still are pursuing. One of them is about to make another visit to Columbus this weekend. Tyler Bowen has another chance of landing an offensive line recruit.

Bowen has done a great job of recruiting guys since he got the offensive line coaching gig after Justin Frye left for the Arizona Cardinals. So far, he has added three offensive linemen to the 2026 class. He's hoping that he can add another big fish after this weekend.

Five-star offensive line recruit will visit the Ohio State football team this weekend

Five-star offensive lineman Darius Gray will be making another visit to the Ohio State Buckeyes this weekend. Gray is from Richmond, Virginia, and is listed at 6'3 and 285 pounds. He's an interior lineman who has a ton of offers from some of the best programs in the country.

Gray has already been in Columbus once, and he is excited to be back. He posted on social media about his excitement for this visit.

Would imagine that the Student Appreciation Day would be pretty eye-opening to an 18 year old. Seeing all those undergrads romping around, and cheering pretty much everything going on, let alone being on the field next to the players. And watching the frosh newbies getting their licks in against semi-live (?)competition. Heard about the QBs, DL, WRs, DBs, but how about the OL young 'uns? Anyone look especially good. Yeah, I know, if the OL gets the headlines, it's probably because something bad happened. But hope springs eternal. Go Bucks!

What is there not to like about Gray’s game? He absolutely dominates up front, overpowers his opponents, has arm length, toughness and a great power base so he has an incredibly bright future ahead of him.
The Richmond (Va.) St. Chrisopher’s standout is also an eloquent and insightful person so picking up concepts, allowing himself to be coached and understanding the position won’t be a problem at all.
Ohio State, South Carolina and others are high on the list.
