USC 20 at Oregon 47 (final)

Again, those are offensive line issues. And considering the, what, like 10 false start penalties, I think it's safe to say USC's offensive line is having problems.

We know all about those issues. Although he certainly needs to improve, our quarterback has taken heat for issues that include the offensive line.

Well, that about wraps it up. Our defense has a lot of problems and the things people were saying before the season have finally showed up -- it's hard to replace so many NFL-talent guys on defense and not feel the effects. You can see it on our linebackers, and actually it reminds me a lot of USC's 2005 defense, which was not only injury-riddled but very young. I hope that this group has the kind of growth that Maualuga, Cushing, etc. did and we see them become dominant in the coming years.

The offense has really come together. Barkley is playing great football and is progressing at an extremely fast rate. Considering their production in this game, and considering that all-star TE McCoy is out, Havili is out, Stafon Johnson is out, and so on -- I'm not worried about the offense. Things are looking up there.

That will wrap it up for me in this thread tonight though. Hope you guys enjoy your vicarious victory.

There have been some positives for SC's offense tonight. Barkley is showing soem serious happy feet right now, but early on he looked pretty good.

The defense was certainly exposed tonight.

Here comes the Boise State talk... I realize that anything positive that Oregon does will help Boise State in the computers (which will be outweighed by the drag of the rest of their schedule).

Any human being who thinks that what Oregon is doing right now has ANYTHING to do with that game against Boise State at the beginning of the year they are a fucking idiot.

Boise State could still lose, so don't worry about them until the regular season is over.
