    Any Burn Notice fans out there? Bruce Campbell is just killer in this series and the way they make fun of other shows like CSI - Miami just cracks me up.

    I would have never anticipated that Jeffrey Donovan would have come out of his character on the Pretender to have done as good of job as the main character on this show as he has...

    And Gabrielle Anwar as the Irish Fiona is just smokin......

    It's campy but fun, which is a nice contrast to all the maudlin murder stuff on every other channel. There was one out, now cancelled iirc, that searched for the identities of murder victims that ended in them being still dead, but with known names. Good grief, if I want to be that depressed I'll read the poli forum.

    And yes, Fiona is uber-cool. That's what I want to come back as in my next life.

    As I posted in the top-5 thread, it's a perfect summer escape. It has the light-hearted action and spy fun of James Bond with the similar void of realism.

    I'd liken it to the video game trend of hyper-realism and engrossing storylines and visuals. Being thrust into the battlefield or a post-apocalyptic horror film is captivating, but you lose out on the fun you had playing simple games like Mario or Paperboy.

    You can lose yourself in Criminal Minds, but it winds you up tighter than before you started watching.

    I would agree it is very cartoonesque in that not too many people die for the amount of violenece. The plots have been fairly good, and the characters are pretty well thought out. It also fills the void during the summer months.
