Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

I watched all four yesterday… once I started watching I literally couldn’t stop.

It wasn’t what I expected that’s for sure. I expected a documentary about how the wheels fell off etc but it was basically about the rise of the Florida program under Urban.

Few things on the docuseries.

1. Notice so much of Ohio States program in there. Particularly the sayings and coach Mick.

2. It was painful to see their prospective of our game in 2006/2007. Also wasn’t surprising we lost now we know just how much UFM relishes being an underdog.

3. The intensity of an UFM program was/is absolutely insane. I give it to the kids who were successful in that environment because that is just not for everyone.

4. The leaders UFM had on those teams were top notch. From Siler to Tebow and Spikes? Geez.

I had the "pleasure" of going to a Glazier coaches clinic in Boston right after that game. Addazio was doing an OL clinic and bragged for what seemed like 5 minutes about beating the "fat, slow" Buckeyes. He didn't teach us a damn thing.

It has been a joy to watch him lose at every stop in CFB. Fuck you Steve.

Listen after watching that show I am now understanding the UFM problems after 4+ years anywhere. The dude literally lives and dies every damn game and minute. His program is so intense. I mean the players gave the full spectrum of opinions. That one Oline dude was almost in tears saying how UFM turned him into a wild ass dog. He was saying that looking back he would never allow his own kids to go through that. Which is kind of funny to me as that was likely why he won championships and I am guessing that player made the NFL. The midnight workouts where amazing. Those dudes literally were eating and sleeping football 24/7. I am amazed any had the energy to get into trouble.

Yeah I don’t pay attention to anyone of those players. They won two titles because of UFM.

I have no sympathy for any of them and I certainly think they’re wimps if they look back on it and think it was too much. Was it too much? Yeah probably. Then again that’s the price of being great.

Give me an UFM 2008 gator team over any team today. My god, UFM would make a team like ours quit today by halftime.

Totally agree.
I actually know a few guys who played for Saban. Both said it was miserable. And they both said that if their kid wanted to play in the NFL there was only 1 coach they should play for and that is Saban.

Point being the price of greatness is high. Winning ain't easy and winning a Natty is butally hard.

I am beginning to think that Day will not be the next coach to win a natty at OSU.
