I haven't taken a vacation in ages, but the wifey and I will probably be going either to Europe or Vegas for our 10th anniversary next year (2012).
allegedly I'll be going to Hawaii for work in September, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Yeah, I lived near Cambridge for three years about 10 years ago and must have visited Edinburgh 6-8 times. I adore that city. Glasgow and Dublin are really cool too, just not as charming as Edinburgh IMO.WolverineMike;1873826; said:we took a day trip to Edinburgh when we were living in England. We lived way up North, so it only took us about 3 hours to get there. Beautiful city. Had a great day.

Google maps has that as the fastest and shortest (mileage) route, but my wife and I both have an unreasonable hatred of stop lights. Does US 33 go through a lot of towns, or is it pretty much 4+ lane highway all the way through? If it's 2 lanes for any significant distance, or goes through a half dozen towns, I'll probably just take I-70 all the way to I-77. That way over 700 of the 726 miles will be interstate. The I-70 to I-77 route adds ~30 minutes to the trip, but what's 30 minutes when you're already driving 12+ hours?
